"Being such an aggressive species has its disadvantages," Kuvve explains as he walks. "Our choice of prey has been crowding into less and less space lately, and all of the carmors have had to overlap their territories. Male carmors like me have to designate their own territories, and then defend them, and mate with any females within that territory.
But when territories overlap, the females have trouble raising their hatchlings with the males fighting almost constantly. I've been in a few spats myself, as you can see. Alot of us have gotten killed and the females have stopped laying until now ... We have a few females who would be willing to send their hatchlings away with the reassurance that the they'll have better lives in their own territories. There is only so much room here.."
He points with his muzzle to a large male. "That's Andirel, probably the most agressive of all of us. He thinks he owns the whole area." Kuvve rolls his eyes. Andirel, indeed, seems to be a very large dragon. You swallow nervously, mouth dry.
"If you want, you can see the other carmors too ..."
